Deck Hardware Supply & Installation

Replacing deck hardware is not always a like-for-like exercise. Rope diameter, working load, attachment method, turning angle, mounting centres and the surrounding deck structure can all affect which component is suitable.

We can help specify and install replacement blocks, winches, travellers, organisers and other sail-handling equipment, as well as advise on upgrades where the original hardware is obsolete or no longer appropriate for the way the yacht is being used.

Winch Servicing & Maintenance

We service yacht winches from major manufacturers including Seldén, Harken, Lewmar, Andersen, Antal and Barient, together with associated pedestal and drive-train assemblies where applicable.

Each winch is dismantled and cleaned to remove old grease, salt deposits and contamination. Gears, bearings, pawls, springs, drums and other working components are inspected for wear or damage, with replacement parts recommended where required.

Serviceable components are lubricated using appropriate manufacturer-approved lubricants before the winch is reassembled and function tested. Regular servicing helps maintain smooth operation, reliable pawl engagement and efficient sail handling while reducing the likelihood of avoidable failures.

Servicing & Upgrading Deck Hardware

Winches are only one part of a yacht's deck system. Blocks, sheaves, cleats, organisers, fairleads and other line-handling equipment should also be inspected for wear, corrosion, damaged bearings, excessive movement and poor alignment.

Where existing equipment is worn or obsolete, we can assess the installation and recommend an appropriate replacement. This is particularly useful where mounting dimensions, rope sizes or attachment arrangements have changed between older and current product ranges.

Design & Installation of Sail-Control Systems

We can assist with new and modified deck layouts, including halyard and control-line routing, mainsheet systems, traveller arrangements and deck-organiser layouts. The objective is not simply to fit individual components, but to create a system with sensible leads, suitable load capacity and practical access for operation and maintenance.

For replacement or upgrade work, photographs, existing manufacturer references, rope diameters and mounting dimensions are particularly useful when identifying suitable equipment.
