When it comes to optimizing your downwind sailing performance, having the right gear can make all the difference. Martin Leaning offers a comprehensive selection of spinnaker and gennaker handling equipment designed for cruisers, racers, and dinghy sailors alike. Here's a breakdown of the key product categories and what they bring to your sailing experience.

Aluminium & Carbon Spinnaker Poles

Martin Leaning supplies Selden’s full range of spinnaker poles, known for their durability and performance:

• Aluminium Poles: Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and ideal for most yachts.
• Carbon Poles: Significantly lighter than aluminium, perfect for performance sailing and larger yachts.
• Pole Kits: Pre-packaged kits that include tubing and end fittings—just cut to length and assemble.
• Sizes: Available for dinghies up to yachts of 30 tonnes, with tapered options for weight optimization.

Telescopic & Jockey Poles

• Telescopic Poles: Extendable to 150% of standard length, ideal for poling out large genoas or gennakers. Retracts for easy stowage.
• Jockey Poles: Used to stabilize the spinnaker guy and reduce wear on lifelines and fittings.

Pole Fittings & Spares

A wide array of Selden end fittings and accessories are available, including:

• End-for-End Gybing Fittings
• Dip Gybing Fittings
• Pole Savers to protect against forestay and shroud damage
• Composite and Aluminium Options for different pole diameters

Gennaker Bowsprits

For asymmetric spinnakers and gennakers, Martin Leaning offers:

• Retractable Bowsprits: Deck-mounted and available in aluminium or carbon fiber
• Mounting Kits & Accessories: Including brackets, pad eyes, and tack lines

These bowsprits are essential for clean sail deployment and optimal sail shape when reaching or running.
