0 Review(s)Engineered for cruising yachts between 10.6 and 14.2 meters (35–47 feet), the Harken Unit 2 MKIV Ocean Jib Furling System brings offshore-grade performance to serious sailors who value control, safety, and durability. Whether you're navigating coastal passages or crossing bluewater, this system allows you to furl and reef your headsail from the cockpit with smooth, dependable operation—even under load.
Built with hardcoat-anodized aluminum and UV-stabilized components, the Unit 2 is designed to withstand the harshest marine environments. Its single-groove foil accommodates #6 luff tape (5 mm), and the modular extrusion system simplifies installation and maintenance. Multiple rows of Torlon® ball bearings eliminate friction and require no lubrication, ensuring consistent furling action in all conditions.
The halyard swivel operates independently of the headstay, allowing precise reefing and furling without compromising sail shape. With a robust clevis pin diameter of 19.1 mm (5/8 in), the Unit 2 accommodates wire headstays up to 11 mm and rod sizes up to -22, making it ideal for larger rigs.
This system includes everything needed for installation: foil sections, connectors, bushings, sail feeder, upper foil cap, lower drum, halyard swivel, Loctite, Allen keys, and reefing line—ready to transform your headsail handling into a seamless, cockpit-controlled experience.
The MKIV Unit 2 Ocean Furling System comes without a Toggle. Purchase the base toggle separately.
