Seldén System 42 Genoa Car – 444-190-01

The Seldén System 42 Genoa Car 444-190-01 is the single roller-bearing sheave version of Seldén's high-load adjustable genoa lead car. Designed for System 42 track, it provides a 2:1 control-line purchase so the sheet lead can be moved fore and aft without manually repositioning the car.

This makes it particularly useful where genoa lead position needs regular adjustment for changing headsail shape, reefing and sailing conditions.

444-190-01 Specifications

Low-Friction Genoa Lead Adjustment

The car uses an anodised aluminium body running on Torlon® ball bearings. The sheet roller is a machined aluminium roller bearing sheave mounted in a stainless-steel holder and supported by a stand-up rubber.

The control-line sheave uses an RBB60 cheek block with caged Torlon® ball bearings. Separating the balls reduces ball-to-ball contact and helps maintain low-friction operation when adjusting the car.

Single Sheave – 2:1 Purchase

This 444-190-01 version uses a single control sheave to provide 2:1 purchase. It is suited to installations where controlled genoa-car adjustment is required without the additional purchase of the double-sheave version.

System 42 Track Compatibility

Product 444-190-01 is designed for Seldén System 42 track. Track type, end controls, available travel and deck curvature should all be checked when replacing an existing car or designing a new genoa-sheet system.

The minimum permitted track radius is 12,000 mm both vertically and horizontally.
