Seldén Furlex Hydraulic Furling Systems

Seldén Furlex Hydraulic provides powered headsail furling and reefing for larger yacht installations, with control from the cockpit and hydraulic drive sized to suit the forestay and furling system.

The hydraulic motor is integrated into the worm-gear drive to create a compact installation with relatively few moving components. The self-braking worm gear holds the sail in the selected position, while manual operation with a standard winch handle remains available if required.

300H, 400H and 500H

The Furlex Hydraulic range includes 300H, 400H and 500H systems. The available configurations cover 8mm to 16mm wire forestays together with selected -40, -48 and -60 rod installations. Different forestay lengths and hydraulic motor options are offered according to Furlex size.

Hydraulic system specification

A Furlex Hydraulic installation forms part of the yacht's wider hydraulic sail-handling system. Hydraulic power supply, controls, valves, hoses and installation requirements should therefore be considered alongside the furling unit itself.
