Why Choose the Furlex 30S?

The 30S keeps the 2500 mm sail-LP limit of the smaller 20S but increases the forestay specification from 3 mm to 4 mm and the maximum forestay working load from 500 kg to 900 kg.

That makes it particularly relevant where the 20S is too small for the stay load or furling-line capacity, without moving up to the larger-sail 40S.

Seldén article 539-490-11 contains the top swivel, halyard swivel, drum, tack fitting and furling line.

The forestay wire is not included, allowing the 4 mm stay to be made to suit the individual installation.

Where It Sits in the Range

Choose the 20S for a 3 mm stay and lighter loads. The 30S moves to 4 mm wire while retaining the 2500 mm LP limit. The 40S also uses 4 mm wire but increases maximum recommended LP to 3000 mm.

Like the other small Furlex models, the jib rolls around the stay rather than a surrounding foil, so the system is intended for furling the sail away rather than sailing with it partly rolled.
