These blocks are designed with lightweight ø5 mm Delrin ball bearings and are available either with a composite sheave or an aluminium sheave. < br />More grip and the ability to cope with relative thin lines.
The sheave automatically changes from free-turning to ratchet when the load increases - the sailor decides when the automatic ratchet kicks in.
The switch-over point is set using an allen key to adjust a screw inside the sheave - fast, simple, precise.

Technical specifications
Seldén 45 mm Automatic Ratchet Block 404-360-51 uses an aluminium sheave for increased grip with relatively thin control lines. At low sheet load the block runs freely, then the ratchet engages automatically as the load rises; the changeover point can be adjusted with an Allen key. Seldén specifies a safe working load of 150 kg, breaking load of 300 kg and maximum 8 mm line. This single-swivel block is intended for dinghy mainsheet and spinnaker-sheet applications where extra grip and low trimming friction are required.
