Configure and order custom-built yacht standing rigging in KOS 1x19 stainless steel wire. We manufacture replacement shrouds and stays to your confirmed finished length with the upper and lower terminal fittings you require.
This product covers 1x19 standing rigging from 3mm to 14mm. Use the configuration options above to select the wire diameter, finished length and terminal arrangement for each stay or shroud.
If you need help using the configurator, see our guide to ordering custom 1x19 yacht standing rigging.
1x19 stainless steel wire is widely used for conventional yacht standing rigging, including cap shrouds, lower shrouds, forestays and backstays. Its low-stretch construction makes it suitable for supporting and controlling the mast while working with purpose-designed standing-rigging terminals.
Martin Leaning Masts & Rigging uses KOS 1x19 stainless steel wire for this custom-build product and professionally terminates each assembly to the confirmed specification.

Before configuring a replacement shroud or stay, confirm the following:
See our illustrated guide to measuring standing rigging before ordering.
The correct terminal depends on both the wire diameter and the mast or deck fitting to which the standing rigging connects. Common fittings include threaded studs, eyes, forks, T-terminals, stemballs and mechanical terminals.
Do not select a replacement fitting from wire diameter alone. Check relevant dimensions such as thread size, clevis-pin diameter, eye-hole diameter, fork width and the type of mast attachment.
Our standing rigging terminal guide explains the common terminal types and the measurements needed to identify them.
If you do not have reliable finished measurements, you can send your existing standing rigging to our Port Solent workshop and we can use it as a template for the replacement assemblies.
This is particularly useful where terminal dimensions, thread sizes, pin sizes or finished lengths need to be reproduced accurately.
Take particular care when replacing a forestay fitted inside a headsail furling system. The wire diameter, finished forestay length and terminal arrangement must all be compatible with the furler and the yacht.
If you are unsure of the forestay specification or furling-system compatibility, contact our rigging team before ordering.
If you are fitting the replacement rigging yourself, our Supported Supply-Only Standing Rigging service adds measurement guidance, video consultation and direct access to our rigging team throughout the project.
We can manufacture custom 1x19 standing rigging for owners carrying out their own installation, or provide a professionally fitted yacht re-rig where required.
For a complete replacement estimate, request a rigging estimate. You can also read our standing rigging replacement cost guide or search the Yacht Rigging Database for an indicative cost for your yacht model.
Standing rigging should be checked regularly for damage, corrosion, broken wires, distortion and deterioration around terminal fittings and attachment points.
If the age, condition or history of the rigging is uncertain, see our guide on when to replace standing rigging or arrange a professional yacht rig inspection.
