The Seldén 613-023-01 AT-Cable is the 19,000 mm version of Seldén's 15 mm anti-torsion cable range for CX and GX downwind furling systems.

An AT-Cable needs high torsional stiffness so rotation applied at the furling unit is transmitted efficiently along the length of the cable. Seldén specifically highlights torsional rigidity as important for fast and reliable sail furling.

What Does an Anti-Torsion Cable Do?

In a downwind furling system, the AT-Cable transfers rotational force from the furling drum through the sail. The more effectively the cable resists twisting, the more quickly that rotation is transmitted along its length.

This is particularly important on larger Code Zero and asymmetric-sail furling systems, where a soft or unsuitable cable can absorb rotation rather than transferring it efficiently to the sail.

CX45 and GX25 Applications

Seldén lists the 15 mm AT-Cable range for CX45 and GX25 systems, including CX45 installations using the GX25 adapter arrangement.

This 613-023-01 version is specifically 19 m long. The same 15 mm cable family is also manufactured in longer lengths, so the required cable length should be confirmed before ordering.

Replacing an Existing AT-Cable

When replacing a cable, check the existing Seldén part number, cable diameter, finished length and furler model. Do not select an AT-Cable by yacht length alone; the correct cable depends on the furling system and installation.
