This guide gives Dufour 34 Classic owners a structured way to plan standing-rigging replacement alongside the other mast and deck equipment that may be involved. If the project extends beyond the stays, the same page can also be used to review halyards and sheets, furling equipment, kicker options, winches and replacement spar guidance. Changes made during earlier refits are often found at the ends of the stays rather than in the wire itself, which is why terminal style, pin size and turnbuckle thread need checking. Before manufacture, confirm every stay’s material and diameter, finished length, upper and lower terminal type, pin size, rigging-screw thread and the complete forestay or furler interface.
