The Albin Alpha 29 rigging guide is designed to help owners scope a replacement project before any parts are manufactured. The furler section is useful for checking whether the existing forestay system should be retained, replaced or considered alongside a wider furling upgrade. Two boats of the same model can nevertheless differ after years of owner upgrades, previous re-rigging or changes to the mast and headsail-furling system. Before manufacture, confirm every stay’s material and diameter, finished length, upper and lower terminal type, pin size, rigging-screw thread and the complete forestay or furler interface.
