Beneteau First 40.7 has a more performance-focused model identity, with our data recording a fractional sloop rig, 11.96 m LOA and introduced in 1997. That gives a useful basis for planning the scale and likely cost of a standing-rigging replacement, while the final specification still needs to be taken from the yacht. The existing rig should be inspected and measured before manufacture, including stay count, wire or rod type, diameters, finished lengths, mast terminal styles, chainplate pins and rigging-screw threads. The forestay should be specified together with the fitted furler rather than treated as an isolated component.
