The J/97 rigging guide is designed to help owners scope a replacement project before any parts are manufactured. The kicker recommendation is presented as a separate equipment option, allowing it to be considered during the refit without treating it as part of the standing-rigging set. Previous rigging work can alter terminals, rigging screws, mast fittings or the forestay arrangement even when the basic yacht model has not changed. Where measurements are being supplied remotely, clear photographs of every upper and lower termination should accompany the finished lengths, wire sizes, pin diameters and rigging-screw details.
