For the Swan 44 (S&S), the information below is intended as a model-level planning tool rather than a substitute for checking the rig actually fitted to the yacht. The furler section is useful for checking whether the existing forestay system should be retained, replaced or considered alongside a wider furling upgrade. Changes made during earlier refits are often found at the ends of the stays rather than in the wire itself, which is why terminal style, pin size and turnbuckle thread need checking. Before manufacture, confirm every stay’s material and diameter, finished length, upper and lower terminal type, pin size, rigging-screw thread and the complete forestay or furler interface.
