The Swan 46 (Frers) rigging guide is designed to help owners scope a replacement project before any parts are manufactured. The furler section is useful for checking whether the existing forestay system should be retained, replaced or considered alongside a wider furling upgrade. Two boats of the same model can nevertheless differ after years of owner upgrades, previous re-rigging or changes to the mast and headsail-furling system. A reliable production schedule should record stay count, wire or rod size, finished dimensions, mast terminals, chainplate pins, turnbuckle threads and the forestay connection through the fitted furler.
