The Southerly 100 guide helps owners decide what may need replacing, what can be priced indicatively and what still needs measuring. The running-rigging table gives a separate starting point for halyards and sheets, so rope replacement can be planned without confusing it with the standing-rigging specification. Previous rigging work can alter terminals, rigging screws, mast fittings or the forestay arrangement even when the basic yacht model has not changed. Before manufacture, confirm every stay’s material and diameter, finished length, upper and lower terminal type, pin size, rigging-screw thread and the complete forestay or furler interface.
